The nanophotonics foundry nanoPHAB® is a spin-off of the COBRA Research Institute at the Eindhoven University of Technology, in The Netherlands. Our mission is to provide academic and industrial SMEs with micro- and nanofabrication solutions for research, prototyping and production of advanced III-V, Silicon and Oxy-Nitrides photonics components and circuits. The technology platform of nanoPHAB® can bring innovation in many fields:
- Photonic integrated circuits and optoelectronics
- Lighting and nanoscale photon sources
- Energy harvesting at the nanoscale
- Sensors MEMS, MOEMS and NOEMS
- Bio-photonics and medical applications
A summary of nanoPHAB® 's vision:
- To act as a European Research and Innovation Foundry Center for the main above mentioned photonics areas and their related technologies
- To strengthen the competitive position of the Dutch and European communications, optoelectronics, medical and optical sensors related industry and research
- To enhance the technological network of the Eindhoven region as a brainport for advanced micro- and nanophotonics
